The site turns monitored risk signals into a single dated forecast and a live countdown. An automated forecasting pipeline can update the target date and its short rationale as inputs change. The displayed date is a model output, not an observed event or a verified probability that extinction will occur on that date.
Signals and method
The pipeline reviews source material concerning nuclear, biological, ecological, artificial-intelligence and other global catastrophic risks. It compares recent signals with its existing forecast, then stores a dated estimate and rationale. The public forecast endpoint, signal endpoint and source configuration provide the current machine-readable context.
How to read the estimate
